Our fencing services include new fence installation and fence replacement. We specialize in high quality redwood fencing but also provide hog or deer wire and wrought iron fencing. Take a look at our Products page to see samples of our fences, gates, retaining walls, arbors, decks, and trellis.

Thanks to our direct relationship with Preserva Wood, we solely use the Pacific Redwood stain in the Preserva Wood line up. AMM only offers staining services in conjunction with fence installation or replacment.

The first step in the process is to contact us to schedule your free custom consultation. One of our experienced project managers will come to your property to meet with you and understand your project goals. Together, we will determine the best product(s) to meet your needs and answer any questions you may have. Your project manager will provide you with a custom estimate on site. After you receive your estimate, our office is available to answer any other questions you may have or make any changes you need before moving forward to schedule your project.

We’re excited to work with you! Sign and initial the front and back of the estimate we provided and email it to contracts@ammfencing.com. You can also text the photos to us at 925-999-0072. We will call you within 48 hours to schedule the installation and discuss the next steps!

Payments

We do not require a deposit to schedule work. Full payment is due upon project completion, on the last day our crews are working on your fence. 

Upon your request, we will provide you with a split invoice form. Each neighbor contributing to the cost will complete the form, noting the percentage/dollar amount of each contracted line item they will be paying for, sign the form, and email it to contacts@ammfencing.com no later than three business days prior to the start of the installation. Once received, each neighbor will be billed directly for their costs.

On the day your project begins, your invoice will be emailed to you. On the final day of your installation, your foreman will present you with a physical copy of the invoice as well. Payment is due at this time. You may pay your foreman directly via check or cash. You can also pay via ACH (electronic check) by clicking on the link emailed with your invoice. If you would like to pay with a debit or credit card, please call our office at 925-999-0072. Please note there is a 3% processing fee for all card payments.

You may cancel your project up to three days after signing your contract with no charge or further obligation. After that time, we charge a 10% or $1,000 (whichever is smaller) fee for all canceled contracts. Items such as ornamental iron or special order wood for arbors and decking are nonrefundable to AMM. If possible, AMM will attempt to return the merchandise, and incur a restocking charge of up to 50% of the purchase price; the customer will be responsible for this fee. In the event that the merchandise cannot be returned, the customer will be responsible for the entire purchase price.

Installation

  • We ask for at least a 2ft clearance along the fence line. Cut back/remove any vegetation within 2 feet of the fence and any items attached to the fence (e.g., electrical boxes, decorations, solar post caps, etc).
  • Tarp or cover any items or plants within 3 feet of the fence if we will be staining it.
  • Ensure your sprinkler system is working properly. Mark the locations of your underground sprinkler lines/heads if you know them.
  • Reserve parking for one 20-foot flatbed truck as close to the construction area as possible.
  • Let the crew know of any locations where you do not want items placed.
  • Make sure our crews have access to electricity and water.
  • Secure and remove any pets from the yard.

No. We do suggest that you have a walkthrough with your foreman at the beginning and end of your project to ensure all your concerns are communicated and any issues are addressed before the crew completes the project. However, as long as we have access to the yard, no one needs to be home.

The timeframe for the installation varies according to the type of fence being installed, its length and height, and specific site conditions. Most of our projects are completed within 1-5 days. 

All pets should be secured and removed from the yard while our crew is onsite and fence lines are down. For multiple day projects, we will work together to ensure fence lines are not left down overnight.

Licensing and Installers

Absolutely. We are a C-13 Fencing Contractor licensed by the California Contractors State Licensing Board. We have $1,000,000 in coverage per occurrence for our general liability policy, commercial automobile policy, and worker’s compensation policy. If you’re considering hiring a company that does not carry the listed insurance coverage, you may want to rethink your decision as you could be financially liable if an incident occurs on your property. Our certificate of liability insurance is available upon request.

We use company installers exclusively. No subcontractors. Our company installers are professionally trained in the installation of fences. Because they are company employees, every foreman and crew member who works on your property is covered by worker’s compensation in addition to our general liability coverage.

Post Installation Support

Yes. All our pressure treated posts and kickboards are guaranteed for 15 years. We will replace any post or kickboard that has rotted upon inspection. We also provide a 1-year guarantee on our gates.

If there is an issue after your fence installation or you believe a repair is needed on your fence, please email repairs@ammfencing.com with your name, address, a description of the issue, and photos. We will reach out within 72 business hours to discuss resolution.

No. Please allow at least 24 hours after installation for the concrete to cure.

Typically, most residential fences don’t exceed six feet. Many municipalities don’t allow fences to be higher than six feet in a backyard or higher than four feet in a front yard because of visibility and safety concerns. The taller your fence is, the harder it will be for you to see cars, small children, or pets in your sightline when backing out of your driveway. We suggest checking with your local homeowner’s association or city building codes department to see if there are restrictions in your neighborhood before building your new fence.

An AMM representative will delineate areas where we will be excavating with temporary chalk based paint and white flags and notify all utilities to mark their underground installations. Individual utility companies not affiliated with AMM are responsible for the markings of their individual utility lines. AMM does not have any knowledge of the products used by other companies to mark the lines. AMM is not responsible or liable for the location of removal of any markings made to locate underground utilities., AMM holds no liability for landscaping, pools, concrete, sprinklers, sprinkler pipes, drain pipers, water lines, cable lines, Telephone lines, natural gas lines, or electrical lines.

In order to obtain a rewrite please contact your project manager, Pete or Alan, to provide them with the changes you want to make. Once the project manager receives the information and is able to create a rewritten estimate, you will be emailed the new bid which you can now sign and move forward with!
